It's being seen. It's feeling worthy. It's telling your story.
It's a form of self care and an act of SELF LOVE... And loving yourself is life changing. When done well, boudoir / intimate portraiture is life changing. It can remind you, or show you - perhaps for the first time- how truly gorgeous and powerful you are.
You need a confidence boost. (My favorite reason to work with you!)
You are confident. "If you've got it, flaunt it, girl."
You've just graduated college.
You are getting married and want to remember this special time & give the best gift.
You are recently single and are finding yourself and your freedom again.
You have an anniversary coming up, or a "milestone birthday" like 30,40,50,60.
You've lost your spark and need to do something to remember who you are.
You're lost in motherhood and need to do something for yourself.
You are young and want to document your body before Motherhood.
You want to be a little rebellious and embrace your sexuality.
You have beautiful tattoos you want photographed.
You want to co-create ART of you to celebrate yourself.
You want this version of you documented because she is worthy.
You want to have something to look back on as you age and change.
You've gained or lost weight and need help embracing it.
You've reached a health goal and want to celebrate.
You're finally on your feet again after overcoming an illness.
You've overcome something hard and want to honor your strength and resilience.
You have awesome lingerie or need an excuse to try out lingerie.
You haven't done anything for yourself in a while.
You want to push through fear and see what could happen if you just go for it.
You want to try something new and exciting.
You want to accept yourself as you are and practice self love.
You've never seen yourself in that way before and know it could change your life.
LIFE IS SHORT. WHY NOT?!
You never know someone's story just by looking at them.
Life knocks the shit out of most
of us at some point.
Boudoir is therapeutic.
Stories that have come through my door or are on their way to work with me soon:
-"I feel like I'm just a mom and I need my sense of self back."
-Threatened by her husband, "You better lose weight or I'll cheat because I can't f*ck a fat chick."
-Teased for being chubby and forced to wear a girdle at 8 years old by her own mother.
-Robbed, drugged, and trafficked. Escaped on foot. Recovering Addict.
-Cheated on, drugged, and forced to participate in sexual deviance within the marriage. Recovering Addict.
-Beaten so bad her teeth were knocked out. Recovering Addict.
-Navigating cancer.
-Navigating divorce.
-A good wife and mother that was cheated on.
-Finally safe and in a happy relationship.
-Gained weight and want to feel more confident.
-Body changes from motherhood and need to embrace them.
-Older woman in her 60s that felt her beauty has faded.
-Lifelong jealousy of other women's beauty.
-"Im feeling the lowest I have ever felt before and want to do this for me, no one else but me."
-"When I look at these photos, I see a women. Not a mom, not a wife, not a professional. Just me. I'm 49 and I'm putting myself first for the first time and it's not selflish."
I myself am a CSA survivor and photos have helped on my healing journey in many ways such as regaining my bodily autonomy, exploring my sexuality safely, emotionally therapeutic portraiture, along with aspects of healing body image and bodily acceptance.
My studio is a safe space and I can hold space for your story.
I am honored to serve women in this way.
